3D Exhibits is a leader in exhibit design, fabrication and event management. Our goal with their brand communications was to re-position them not just as craftsmen/fabricators, but creators of great design and experiences. 3D's previous materials didn't reflect their continuing development as a creator of all aspects of the exhibit experience—from design, to marketing, to fabrication and management.
To reinvigorate its image as a creative leader in exhibit design, 3D Exhibits wanted to create a splash and reignite buzz around the company. They planned an event at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to coincide with the year's largest exhibit trade show. Looking for a way to invite current clients and high-level prospects, we conceived of a special party invitation in the form of a custom red Jenga block. The game piece was mailed in a custom, flocked box, and silkscreened with the event's RSVP information. Recipients were instructed to bring their block to join others at this exclusive event, where the theme of "building" relationships and pieces would continue. After hosting their exclusive re-launch event, 3D Exhibits wanted to thank all the guests of their "block party" and continue carrying the clever messaging through the relationship with these partners. The follow-up to the party was a customized Jenga game, including a full, playable set of blocks in a custom box (which matched the party invitation) and included another red game block. Each set contained a handwritten thank you note from a 3D Exhibits staff member, and became a memorable take-away for all attendees. Work created in partnership with culture22.
For 3D Exhibits' six-month promo calendar, we designed a poster that showcased samples of their work, while also providing some ongoing interactivity. Printed on a textured, shimmering paper stock, the poster was perforated into vertical strips. This allowed the recipient to tear and remove past months to keep track of time, and to foster continuing engagement with the piece. Work created in partnership with culture22.
Continuing the themes set by 3D Exhibits' Las Vegas re-launch party, we helped craft a series of direct mail pieces that touted the strategic principles of 3D's work. Printed on pearlescent paper stock and mailed at regular intervals, the mailers yielded better response rates than any previous 3D Exhibits campaign. Targeted clients and prospects were also given small "portfolio cards" (printed on identical paper stock) that highlighted notable and successful exhibit designs by the company.
