Tim's first foray into working as an independent creative agency was a print and identity design firm, Blam! Bang! Armed with the belief that the greatest unmet client need was comprehensive narrative in communications, we sought to focus our efforts on "strategic brand storytelling". Instead of merely creating good-looking materials for clients, Blam! Bang! sought to thread a powerful, engaging story throughout each organization's brand, regardless of the project.
This identity draws inspiration from the evocative tales of comic books and pulp novels, with the use of benday dots and striking color. Designed to wrap around the organizational mantra "strategic brand storytelling", the mark is meant as a stylized representation of speech, action and movement. It suggests comic book panels and the B! initial of the company name, while still invoking a retro revival theme.
Designed to highlight the capabilities of the Blam! Bang! design firm, this small-profile book was bound with aluminum screwposts and soft-matte finish paper stock. The soft-touch cover was hand-embossed with the Blam! Bang! tagline, and then enclosed in a wrapper that echoed the look of interior spreads.
