Chelada Rimming Salt Packaging

Grupo Modelo is the largest beer producer in Mexico, the brewer/distributor of 13 brands, including Negra Modelo, Corona, Modelo Especial and others.

In an alliance with Urban Accents, we designed the packaging for a tie-in product between the two brands. Three exclusive rimming salts were created to promote Modelo's beers alongside a set of Chelada recipes—authentic Mexican "beer cocktails" mixed with lime, salsa, clamato and other spices. (Larger breweries have entered the markets with Americanized versions of these drinks like Miller Chill and Bud Light Lime.) Offered for a limited time, these rimming salts were chosen to compliment the specific Chelada recipes and Modelo beers.
