We recently had the privilege to work together with our friends at Neenah Paper and Unisource Worldwide to create the print collateral for an event co-created with AIGA Chicago. We created “collector coins” for an amazing panel event featuring some amazing designers in Chicago — including Steve Liska, Katherine Walker, Bart Crosby, Alisa Wolfson, Dawn Hancock, and moderator Rick Valicenti. You can see the project details here.
Our Work Wins An FPO Award
This news has already been announced, but we are sufficiently humbled and honored enough to talk about it in this space too. We’re excited to mention that our work for AIGA Chicago and Unisource on the AIGA Voices piece has been chosen as an FPO Award winner! The FPO Awards are an outgrowth of the design and production blog, FPO, run by Armin Vit and Bryony Gomez-Palacio of UnderConsideration. FPO and the rest of the “blog family” created by UnderConsideration have been favorites of ours for many years. We’re thrilled to be chosen in this year’s FPO Awards, and look forward to seeing all of the other winners in the upcoming printed book.
New Work: Golden Apple Holiday Cards
To wrap up 2012 and give a heartfelt thanks to supporters, Golden Apple Foundation asked us to create a holiday card for their donors and friends. To stay within the project’s modest budget, our team opted to use digital printing provided by our excellent partners at Elk Grove Graphics. But despite the small quantities and budget, our team still wanted to utilize premium production techniques of the piece, making it feel even more special for recipients.
New work: AIGA Chicago Voices Art Prints
We had the great opportunity to work with the Chicago chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design. This set of pieces served both as art prints, and also marketing pieces for AIGA Chicago. Take a look for more details on the project.
A Colorful Night of Paper With Gruppo Cordenons
We had an amazing time at the “Color In Chicago” party hosted by our clients and friends at Gruppo Cordenons, and it’s not just because we designed the invitations and materials for the event. It was a great night filled with premium paper, good friends, and paper dresses, at the beautiful Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. You can get a glimpse of the festivities thanks to amazing photographer Steven E. Gross, and even purchase mementos – the next-best thing to owning a paper dress! All photos courtesy and © Steven E. Gross & Associates.
New work: Gruppo Cordenons and Golden Apple
We’re continuing to post new work, so here are more of the projects we’re bringing out from behind the curtain. These are event and invitation design work for fine paper maker Gruppo Cordenons, as well as a direct mail campaign for local Chicago nonprofit, Golden Apple Foundation. Click for more details on the fruits of these great client partnerships.

Our Game Developers Conference posters revealed
We collaborated with marketing partners iam8bit to create and design a set of four commemorative posters that will serve as giveaway items for each of the attendees of the 25th annual Game Developers Conference. The limited-edition posters are jam-packed with classic and modern video games references, a kind of scavenger-hunt that tromps through 40 years of video game history. More info on the posters and conference can be found here.
